Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Fresh and clean with aromas of Granny Smith apples, limes, and Meyer lemon with a hint of ginger. The aromas carry over to the palate and make for a refreshing and crisp Riesling!
Vineyard Notes
Spring was very warm resulting in an earlier than usual bud break. Good weather continued until Late Summer where it started to cool off early September through November. Being situated high atop of the valley, our Hawthorne Mountain Vineyard was kept free of botrytis due to the high winds keeping fruit relatively dry. 2019 is a big year for Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir with later ripening varietals having more of a lighter approach.
Production Notes
Picked a week earlier than average due to threat of heavy rain, these Riesling grapes were left on skins for 4 hours to pick up bright and intense flavours. The wine was then fermented and stored in stainless steel tank.
Food Pairing Notes
Perfect with spicy lemon garlic shrimp, Yakitori, Ahi Tuna Poke bowl, or pork belly tacos. As you can see, this Riesling pairs wonderfully with exotic cuisine! For cheese pairings, try Goat Cheese, Brie & Gruyere.

This fruity, yet dry wine is a wonderful and surprising Riesling.
