This simple to put together vinaigrette dresssing is exponentially better than store-bought and will add fresh flavour to your salad in less than five minutes. Tip: It works as a marinade too!
Ingredients
- ½ cup olive oil
- ½ cup vinegar (balsamic, red-wine, white-wine)
- 3 tbsp fresh herbs (such as basil, thyme, and rosemary), chopped finely
- 1 small garlic clove, finely chopped or crushed
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Pinch of Kosher salt
- Fresh ground pepper
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a measuring cup or glass jar. Mix well with a small fork or whisk until well combined.
- Taste and adjust according to your preference. For example, if it’s too acidic, add more olive oil, a small amount at a time, or balance it with a bit more honey or salt.
- Serve immediately or store (covered) in the refrigerator for up to one week.
