This simple to put together vinaigrette dresssing is exponentially better than store-bought and will add fresh flavour to your salad in less than five minutes. Tip: It works as a marinade too!
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup vinegar (balsamic, red-wine, white-wine)
  • 3 tbsp fresh herbs (such as basil, thyme, and rosemary), chopped finely
  • 1 small garlic clove, finely chopped or crushed
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Pinch of Kosher salt
  • Fresh ground pepper
  1. Combine all ingredients in a measuring cup or glass jar. Mix well with a small fork or whisk until well combined. 
  2. Taste and adjust according to your preference. For example, if it’s too acidic, add more olive oil, a small amount at a time, or balance it with a bit more honey or salt. 
  3. Serve immediately or store (covered) in the refrigerator for up to one week.
