2020 Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Reserve Rose
A blend of Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Tempranillo. These three varietals were kept separate and pressed lightly in order to receive minimal skin contact to pull out the red berry flavours and leave behind the tannins you would otherwise see in a red grape. Blending trials were conducted to find the perfect refreshing balance of fruit flavours and lingering acidity.
A tantalizing array of berry flavours; raspberries and fresh strawberries with light floral notes. The palate is filled with citrus and strawberries. Light bodied and off-dry with a crisp, mouthwatering finish.
Food Pairing Notes
This wine pairs great with grilled sausages with onions and peppers, pizza, chicken tinga burritos or a traditional Greek gyro. Cheese: Semi-soft cheeses such as Gruyere, Havarti, Oka.
