Notes of lychee, honey and roses delight the nose, while the palate has elements of apricot, orange, and cantaloupe. The rich mouthfeel gives it a medium-long finish that lingers. A versatile wine which you can sip with our without food.
One of the coldest winters we’ve experienced in years gave way to a cool, wet spring. Compared to typical years, berry development was delayed by a few weeks. This, coupled with the hot, dry summer resulted in smaller and more concentrated grapes. Fall weather cooled down quickly, but our vineyard crew was able to bring in our fruit prior to any risk of frost. Overall, expect delicate red wines with concentrated flavours and lively, aromatic whites.
An Alsatian delight. This wine hails from our Whitetail Vineyard where the elevation gives the Gewürztraminer a more lychee note than the tropical flavoured counterparts down south. Fermented and stored "sur lie" in stainless steel tank, it was routinely stirred to give it that exhuberant mouthfeel typical of a Gewürztraminer from the Alcase region of France.
Food Pairing Notes
Shrimp and crab nachos, curried chicken with spinach and carrots, or bacon and tomato topped Halibut. For cheese, try Munster, Maroilles, or Livarot.
