Winemaker Notes
Rich aromas of dark cherries, smoky vanilla, black forest cake, and some spicy earthiness. There are plenty of blackberries, baking spices, dark chocolate and vanilla spice on the palate. The tannins and acid are soft and the finish is long and pleasurable.
Food Pairing Notes
This bold and flavourful wine can stand up to many varieties of meat and exotic flavours - try it with leg of lamb or Morrocan cuisine. This peppery Shiraz is also a lovely complement to richly flavoured cheeses, such as asiago, blue cheese and aged cheddar.

This wine was such a lovely surprise. We received it with our 'wine club' box and are sure we had better order a case of this for the future. Lovely,r ound and full bodied wine the way we like it.

I was given this wine as a gift after my surgery. What a treat it was. I love a full bodied red, and this one sure qualifies. I will visit the vinyard at the next opportunity.

Begins almost port-like, with dense syrah fruit, some floral, lifted, subtle bramble and briar, notes. Smells much more Rhone than Australian with blue fruit, black fruit, white pepper. This follows through on the palate with classy complex, shiraz fruit that is not too jammy, with moderate tannins, muffled alcohol, graceful, savoury flavour changes, and it lingers a while. Overall, more about subtlety than, big bodied impact. You could hold for an additional 2 to 5 years to see how it developed. Drinks like a Rhone syrah at twice the price.
