Tasting Notes
A complex, well-rounded wine with notes of ripe dark cherries and black pepper on the nose and the palate. The bold flavours are supported by both a firm tannin and a smooth and lengthy finish. Great for pairing with braised or grilled meats such as rib-eye, beef tenderloin or lamb and sharp aged cheeses.
Winemaker Notes
Full aromas of dark berries, cherries, and semi-sweet chocolate, with a gentle aroma of toasted oak. The palate is rich with flavours of dark berries, ripe cherries, black forest cake, and some mocha on the finish. The tannins are medium and the acidity is soft with a long finish.
Food Pairing Notes
Pair this distinct wine with a prime rib or lamb roast, venison with juniper sauce or pheasant. Also ideal when served with ripe, hard cheeses.

Try it again in 2017. Simply awesome for the price!! I live in Oliver and have tried them all and for a large winery this is excellent. Expect to pay a lot more for one of the boutique comparable wines!
