Tasting Notes
Aromas of baking spices, strawberries and sour cherries with a hint of vanilla and subtle notes of oak. This wine boasts bright flavours of strawberry, vanilla and spiced fruit cake with soft tannins and a vibrant acidity.
Winemaker Notes
The grapes were picked in early September and destemmed to an open top fermenter. The wine was punched down two times daily to extract colour and flavour before going through malolactic fermentation in French and American oak barrels. After fermentations were complete the wine was aged for 10-12 months.
Food Pairing Notes
Try this wine with roasted duck breast, mushroom risotto, or turkey burgers. The Estate Series Pinot Noir would also pair nicely with a grilled Salmon fillet, roasted root vegetables or a pork tenderloin with a cherry and spice jus.
